Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse University head coach Scott Shafer has dismissed Markus Pierce-Brewster and Davon Walls from the football team due to a violation of team rules, according to the university.

Pierce-Brewster and Davon Walls were arrested earlier this month, accused in connection to three burglaries reported on campus.

Police say the men stole Xbox video game systems, televisions, a Playstation video game system, and games from the residences on Winding Ridge Road, which is on the SU campus, on Feb. 23.

Police say the residents were home when the burglaries occurred.

Davon Walls and Markus Pierce-Brewster are charged with burglary in the second degree and petit larceny.

Two others are also facing charges in connection with the robberies: Erwing Augustin and Bradley Valik are charged with two counts each of burglary and petit larceny.
