Michigan head coach John Beilein coached at Le Moyne for nine seasons
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Michigan head coach John Beilein, whose team will face Syracuse in the Final Four, spent nine years as a coach in Syracuse himself, at Le Moyne College.
Beilein had a 163-94 record as coach of the Dolphins from 1983 to 1992.
Under his leadership, Le Moyne was the Mideast conference champion in the 1987-88 season and earned a berth in the Division II tournament.
This is Beilein’s sixth season at Michigan. The team has a 30-7 record this season, including Sunday’s win in the Elite Eight.
