Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- It was supposed to be the perfect way for many SU fans to wish long-time rival Georgetown their best post Big East by thumping them in front of a record crowd. Instead, it left many of the 35,000-plus fans that packed the Dome on Saturday less than satisfied.

Two weeks from now, Orange fans have the chance to return the favor when the Orange play at the Hoyas in Washington, but it’s not going to be easy, and it looks like it’s too late to jump on a charter bus.

"Kind of wish we had more packages available…because already this morning we’re getting flooded with phone calls from people [asking if we have] anything available,” said Mike Russett with Caz Limo.

If you plan on driving down to the Verizon Center to see the game in Washington, D.C., it’ll take you about six hours – or 375 miles.

You’ll probably want to leave on Friday and book a hotel, since the game is at noon on Saturday, March 9. Some hotels in the D.C. area are as low as $110 per night. Then, the question of getting a ticket arises. Stub Hub has prices starting at around $100 per seat in the upper deck. And don’t forget to add in service and delivery fees for up to $15.

It won’t be cheap, but it might be worth it to see SU take on Georgetown one last time.

Right now, Georgetown has only released tickets to the general public wishing to make a $50 contribution to Georgetown Athletics. SU has sold out of its allotment.
