SU, Georgetown game sold out, ticket sales break on-campus attendance record

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse University men’s basketball team’s final home meeting with Georgetown as members of the Big East Conference has sold out. The ticket sales break the attendance record for an on-campus college basketball game.

Syracuse University’s athletics department announced that the Feb. 23 game at the Carrier Dome had sold 35,012 tickets, shattering the previous record.

The No. 8 Orange will face the No. 11 Hoyas at 4 p.m. on CBS.

The ticket total surpasses the previous record of 34,616, which was set at the Dome on Feb. 27, 2010 when SU hosted Villanova.
