Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Top-ranked Syracuse University has sold 23,500 tickets so far for its next home game, a Saturday clash with Marquette.

The Golden Eagles are currently ranked No. 20 in both polls. They trail only the Orange in scoring offense among Big East Conference teams with 78.1 points per game. SU is averaging 81.1.

The largest crowd for a Syracuse game at the Carrier Dome to date this season is 25,081 when the Orange hosted Seton Hall on Dec. 28.

Marquette dealt the Orange its exit from the NCAA Tournament last, beating them 66-62 in Cleveland. With the win, the Golden Eagles advanced to the Sweet 16.

Marquette is lead by Darius Johnson-Odom’s 17.9 points per game and Jae Crowder, 16.6.

Kris Joseph leads SU’s balanced offense with 13.9 points per game, followed by Dion Waiters, 12.6, and Brandon Triche, 10.3.
