Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse University men’s basketball team fell to No. 12 in both major polls on Monday, two days after Georgetown snapped the team’s 38-game home win streak.
The Orange will have a chance to bounce back tonight when it hosts Marquette for a Big Monday match-up at 7 p.m.
SU is 22-5 overall and 10-4 in the Big East Conference going into tonight’s game. The Golden Eagles are 19-7, 10-4. They are ranked
No. 22 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll as well as the Associated Press poll.
Indiana topped both polls at 24-3 overall, while Gonzaga was ranked No. 2 in both.
Duke and Michigan registered at No. 3 and No. 4. Kansas was ranked No. 5 in the Coaches Poll, while Miami was ranked No. 5 in the AP poll.
