SU introduces Shafer as new head coach
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse University athletics department held a press conference to introduce its new head football coach on Friday.
Word circulated earlier in the week that the department had hired defensive coordinator Scott Shafer earlier in the week.
The school confirmed that it had hired Shafer on Wednesday.
Shafer is replacing four-year coach Doug Marrone, who had been hired as the head coach of the Buffalo Bills.
