SU moves up in both major polls

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse University men’s basketball team moved up in both major college hoops polls on Monday going into its home game against Cincinnati.

SU moved up to tie with Kansas for the No. 3 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 4 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

On Saturday, the Orange knocked off No. 1 Louisville on the Cardinals’ home court.

Cincinnati also moved up to No. 21 in the AP Poll and No. 20 the Coaches Poll.

Duke took advantage of Louisville’s lapse to move in to the top spot in both polls.

Kansas took the No. 2 spot in the Coaches Poll, followed by Michigan. The Wolverines were ranked No. 2 in the AP poll.

Louisville fell to No. 5 in both polls.

In the AP poll, Arizona, Indiana, Florida, Butler, and Gonzaga rounded out the top 10.
