Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse University men’s basketball team remained locked in the No. 2 spot in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches polls on Monday.
Over the weekend, the Orange soundly defeated St. John’s 95-70 at Madison Square Garden after getting sophomore center Fab Melo back in the line-up.
Kentucky, however, held onto its top spot. The Wildcats trounced South Carolina 86-52 in Columbia.
SU hosts Georgetown Wednesday night at the Carrier Dome.
In both polls, Ohio State, Missouri, and North Carolina rounded out the top five.
