Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Shortly after Tyler Ennis officially signed with the Orange, coaches said he had the potential not to only be one of the best freshman point guards in the country, but one of the nation’s top point guards period.
Apparently the people who vote on that actual award agree with the coaches at SU.
Ennis was one of 46 players to be named to the Bob Cousy watch list, the award given to the best point guard in the country.
He's one of five point guards from the ACC to make the preseason cut.
Ennis shined during the four-game exhibition tour in Canada in August when he started each game, averaging 10 points and 3 rebounds per contest.
His first official preseason game in the Carrier Dome is set for Friday, Nov. 1
The regular season opener is the Friday, Nov. 8 against Cornell.
