Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse University men’s basketball team’s season-opening game against San Diego State aboard the USS Midway has been moved to Sunday.
The game between the Orange, ranked No. 9 in preseason polls, and the Aztecs, ranked No. 20, was initially scheduled for Friday.
Weather forecast in San Diego indicate the strong possibility of rain.
Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.
The coaches of both teams have won national championships, Jim Boeheim with the Orange in 2003 and Steve Fisher with Michigan in 1989.
