Philadelphia (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse University football team won its season finale against Temple 38-20 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
In its final game as a member of the Big East Conference, the Orange cemented its bid for a bowl by improving to 7-5.
With the loss, the Owls fell to 4-7.
Ryan Nassib completed 16 of 28 pass attempts for 215 yards and one touchdown.
Adonis Ameen-Moore ran for just 57 of the Orange’s 260 yards, but scored two touchdowns.
Christian Brothers Academy graduate Marcus Sales hauled in a 24-yard touchdown pass from Nassib.
Prince Tyson Gulley also scored on a three-yard run and Keon Lyn executed a 31-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Ross Krautman capped off Syracuse’s scoring with a 26-yard field goal.
For Temple, Clinton Granger threw completed 16 of 23 pass attempts for 173 yards, but he also threw two interceptions.
