SU women’s basketball team in their first NCAA tourney since 2008
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The SU women’s basketball team will play Creighton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
This is the Orange's first NCAA tourney bid since 2008, and fifth in program history.
SU is the 7-seed in the Oklahoma City regional. They'll take on 10th-seeded Creighton in Knoxville, TN on Saturday at 11:20 a.m.
Should Syracuse win, they'd likely face 2nd-seeded Tennessee in the second round. The Volunteers face 15-seed Oral Roberts in the first round.
The 1-seed in the Orange's racket is Baylor, the defending national champions.
