Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The Orange open up Big East play against Seton Hall Wednesday night. And thanks to an undefeated record and number one national ranking, attendance is up this season.
The university says game attendance is up five percent from last year at this point in the season.
Orange fan Carrie Rood said, "Everyone's so excited and they're winning…the crowd is wild."
Another fan, Andy Mai said, "It's always enticing you know, 'cause who doesn't want to see a number one team?"
Not only has the team's undefeated record and number one national ranking helped attendance numbers, but so have the mild temperatures thus far this winter.
"It's been a great winter. There hasn't been any snow, so it's easy to get up here," said another fan.
Tickets for Wednesday's game against Seton Hall are still available, but good seats may be hard to come by.
Nearly 30,000 tickets have already sold for their game against UConn in February, which has the potential to be a sell-out and to break their record set back in 2010 , when the Orange took on Villanova.
