Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Fans aren't the only ones hoping the Orange keeps winning, because with March Madness comes the tournament t-shirt frenzy.
Syracuse apparel stores are already cashing in on SU's wins.
The Sweet Sixteen shirts are already taking precedent on the shelf, showcasing the team's most recent accomplishment from this weekend.
Manny's on Marshall St. can't keep them stocked fast enough.
Customers are calling to check and were stopping in to buy them as soon as they knew the shirts were available Sunday morning.
Manager Bill Nester says the players themselves often stop in for the shirts too.
“The kids come in here all the time and do their shopping. So we get to be friends with a lot of them and its heart warming to see them get that far,” Nester said.
Other stores hope to have their Sweet Sixteen shirts by the end of the day Monday. If not, expect to see them by Tuesday.
Dave Jacobs, president of Shirt World said, “The fans here in Syracuse are phenomenal and they can't wait to get in their gear.”
Shop owners can't wait to see the fans wearing the gear on TV as they cheer on the Orange from the sidelines Thursday.
The turn around is a little quick for many of the shops to make Elite Eight shirts, but the store owners say Final Four shirts would be a sure thing.
