Recap: Texas vs. San Francisco
Surprise, AZ (Sports Network) - Madison Bumgarner pitched one-hit ball over four innings, as the San Francisco Giants defeated the Texas Rangers, 2-1, in spring training action.
Hunter Pence went 2-for-3 and knocked in both of the Giants' runs. The first was in the third inning, scoring Kensuke Tanaka on a double. The second was in the fifth inning, a triple, bringing Nick Noonan home.
Dan Runzler got the save for the Giants.
Mike Olt drove in the only run for the Rangers, who were 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position. Starter Yu Darvish allowed one run on five hits and had five strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings.
