Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs and pitcher Shawn Camp agreed to terms on a one-year contract on Monday.

The 37-year-old right-hander finished the 2012 season, his first for the franchise, with a 3-6 record, 3.59 earned run average and two saves in a career-best 80 appearances. The Mariners released him on March 23 and the Cubs signed him to a minor league deal three days later.

Over 512 games in nine pro seasons, the northern Virginia native has gone 28-32 with a 4.29 ERA and 12 saves for the Royals, Rays, Blue Jays and Cubs.
