Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Guy Boucher announced Tuesday that left wing Ryan Malone is expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks due to a lower-body injury.

Malone, who was placed on injured reserve Monday, was scratched prior to Sunday's contest against the New York Rangers after getting hurt during pregame warmups.

The 33-year-old had scored four goals and added an assist over Tampa Bay's first 10 outings of the 2013 campaign and has recorded 20 goals or more in six of his nine NHL seasons. Malone had 20 goals and 28 assists over 68 games in 2011-12.
