Breanna Stewart and UConn Huskies honored at White House
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Breanna Stewart her UConn Huskies teammates were honored at the White House by President Barack Obama on Wednesday.
The Huskies won the NCAA National Championship in April.
Stewart, a freshman at UConn, was selected as the NCAA Tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
The former Cicero-North Syracuse High School star scored 23 points to lead the Huskies to a 93-60 victory over Louisville in the title game in New Orleans.
