C-NS grad Breanna Stewart named Big East Rookie of the Week
Storrs, Conn. (WSYR-TV) – Former Cicero-North Syracuse High School basketball star Breanna Stewart is making waves in her first games with UConn.
Stewart was selected as Big East Conference Rookie of the Week after averaging 16 points per game in her first two appearances with the Huskies.
The conference’s preseason Freshman of the Year scored 21 points in her college debut with UConn, a 103-39 rout of the College of Charleston.
