Chiefs extend winning streak
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Baseball players are used to spending a good portion of their summers on the road. They’ll get a week to ten days here and there, but usually not much more than that without having to take a trip somewhere. That’s why this month has been so strange for the Chiefs. They haven’t played a true road game since June 4 with a stretch of 20 straight games at Alliance Bank Stadium.
And the buys have taken advantage of that home cooking, finishing the homestand 14 and 6 – picking up their eighth consecutive win Monday night. The Chiefs beat the Braves 10 to 6.
