Crunch forward named AHL’s MVP
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Crunch forward Tyler Johnson has been selected as the American Hockey League’s Most Valuable Player.
The Crunch announced Johnson’s selection for the Les Cunningham Award on Friday.
Johnson, 22, is tied for the league lead with 33 goals and has recorded 60 points in 60 games for the Crunch.
Syracuse has already clinched a spot in the Calder Cup playoffs and is vying for the East Division title.
The Crunch conclude their regular season with a three-in-three at the War Memorial this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
