Crunch on the cusp of a playoff sweep after beating Springfield
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Syracuse Crunch is one win away from sweeping Springfield to advance to the semifinal round of the Calder Cup playoffs.
The Crunch took a 3-0 lead in the series with the Falcons after winning 3-0 at the War Memorial on Wednesday night.
Goalie Cedrick Desjardins had 24 saves in the win.
Richard Panik, Ondrej Palat, and Tyler Johnson each found the net in the Crunch’s home win.
Syracuse can close the series with a win on Friday night at the War Memorial.
The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m.
