Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- It’s “Crunch” time this weekend in Syracuse.
Some of the city’s Landmark buildings are turning blue for the red hot Syracuse Crunch hockey team. The campaign, called “All in for the Crunch,” is in support of the Crunch’s Calder Cup playoff run, which kicks off on Saturday.
“I think hockey, in general, people know when you come to playoff time. It really does up tick a little bit more. There is even that much more passion and it is a win or go home type of mentality and that breeds the intensity we see here,” said Crunch Vice President Jim Sarosky.
The buildings will stay blue during game one and two on Saturday and Sunday nights. The puck drops for both games at 7:30 p.m.
