Cuomo: PGA Championship impact over $100 million for area
Rochester (WSYR-TV) - The PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester not only brought well-known golfers to Central New York, it also brought in millions of dollars according to the governor’s office.
Governor Cuomo announced on Thursday that the tournament brought in $102 million to the area.
The $102 million was much more than $78 million that was originally predicted.
The championship also created more than 1,800 temporary jobs during the event.
