James Southerland makes a stop in Syracuse
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - An Orange fan favorite stopped in Syracuse on Sunday.
James Southerland met fans and played some games at Dave and Busters in Destiny USA.
The former SU hoops star is getting ready for training camp with the Charlotte Bobcats.
Southerland was not selected in this year's NBA Draft after his time at Syracuse University.
However, he did play in the Orlando and Las Vegas summer leagues.
He's hoping to make a regular season roster, which he admits will take plenty of work.
"They (Charlotte) are an experienced team now," said Southerland.
"Being a rookie, I need to do the little things out there to stay on the court."
The Bobcats' training camp starts October 1 on the campus of UNC-Asheville.
