Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – When the Orange football players woke up Tuesday morning, they were introduced to life on a military base.
The Syracuse University football team is at Fort Drum as part of their training camp.
The players will go a few days without the luxuries of the internet, video games, cell phones, and their Twitter accounts.
It’s a formula that coaches believe teaches players how to deal with adversity and develops chemistry with teammates.
First year head coach Scott Shafer made it a priority to organize a return trip to Fort Drum for this year’s training camp, the third year in a row for the program.
Shafer had to postpone a morning activity with the military because of bad weather
The Orange will return to Syracuse on Friday.
