The 13th annual Syracuse Nationals will once again be held this summer at the New York State Fairgrounds. The three-day automotive extravaganza has become a tradition for thousands of classic car and truck owners and their families from all over the country. The event is open to hot rods, muscle cars, classics and customs manufactured in 1980 and before.
Syracuse Nationals consists of several fan-favorite elements including The “Million Dollar Garage,” giving fans the opportunity to get a view of 12 cars worth a total of more than $1 million that represent the finest in metal shaping and car customization. The event will also include pinstripe and airbrush artists known as “Artie’s Party,” exciting motor sport events, more than 350 vendors, a Richard Petty Signature car, a “Designer’s Dozen” contest, a custom-built vehicle giveaway, musical performances and fireworks.
Two new exciting elements added to this year’s showcase include:
• “American Muscle Sunday”- Owners with vehicles newer than 1980 will be allowed to display their specialty cars or trucks at the Fairgrounds on Sunday, July 22.
• Special appearances and autograph signings by John Schneider (“Bo Duke”) and Catherine Bach (“Daisy Duke”), stars of the all-time smash hit, The Dukes of Hazzard.
The event will be held at New York State Fairgrounds Friday-Sunday, July 20-22. Friday and Saturday spectator gates are open 8 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday spectator gates are open 8 a.m.- 3p.m.
Advance sale discount tickets for the Syracuse Nationals are available now until July 19 at participating Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes. One-day adult tickets cost $17 at the gate, or $12 until July 19 with a $5 presale discount. Children’s tickets (ages 6 to 12) are $8 at the gate, or $6 until July 19 with a $2 presale discount. Children five and under receive free admission. Parking is free at the event.
