SewGreen is holding end-of-summer sewing and reuse classes for children and teens.
Classes held on August 25 - 29.
All classes are held at the SewGreen classroom, Women's Community Building, 100 W Seneca Street, in downtown Ithaca.
Starting Aug 25:
Middle-school aged boys and girls will learn machine and hand-sewing skills, will complete several reuse projects, and help produce a take-home booklet of their own ideas for a more sustainable daily life.
Half-day classes are offered as a morning or afternoon series.
Cost: $85 and includes materials.
August 28 & 29:
High-school aged teens are invited to participate in two full days of "back-to-school" sewing and refashioning, with a focus on creative reuse and originality. Both machine and hand-sewing will be taught.
Cost: $95 and includes materials.
