Secondary Strings Festival to Take Place at LHS

The annual Liverpool Central School District Secondary Strings Festival will be held February 8, at 7 p.m., in the Liverpool High School Auditorium.

This event features performances by all students in the middle school and high school orchestral program. In addition to selections performed alone by the Liverpool High School Symphonic Orchestra, this program will feature performances by the combined middle school orchestras, high school orchestras, and a special finale performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture by all middle school and high school orchestra members. Guest conductor that evening will be Ms. Rachel Lauber.

LCSD strings faculty involved in this program are: Liverpool Middle orchestra teacher Becky Dodd, Chestnut Hill Middle orchestra teacher Robert Rogers, Soule Road Middle orchestra teacher Barry Blumenthal, LHS String Ensemble and Concert Orchestra director Stephen Finley and LHS Symphonic Orchestra director Jeffrey Abbott.
