Manlius Pebble Hill School will hold its ninth annual Jazz Fest Sunday afternoon, June 10 on the MPH campus. The under-the-tent outdoor event, open to the public, gets under way at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.

Headlining this year’s Jazz Fest are the Upstate Latin Jazz All Stars. The band features well-known area musicians Barry Blumenthal on piano, Jorge Cuevas on percussion; Mike Dubaniewicz on sax; Nick Frenay on trumpet, Jimmy Johns on drums, and Darryl Pugh on bass.

Eric Cohen, music director at WAER, will serve as master of ceremonies for Jazz Fest, which will also feature MPH middle and high school bands and STEEP, the five-member local band that in January beat some 40 bands to win the third annual Big Break contest, a four-round, four-month battle of the bands held at the Westcott Theater in Syracuse.

Tickets will be available at the event or can be purchased in advance by calling 446-2452, ext. 120 or emailing cbisnett@mph.net.
